Over
the years, True North has placed a number of guides on the summit
of Pico de Orizaba. At
18,700’, it’s the highest peak in Mexico
and the third highest peak in North America
. With proper acclimation,
gear and guidance, reasonably fit individuals can reach this
impressive summit. We
can not guarantee your summit, of course, but we can guarantee
that we’ll do everything possible to maximize your chance of
success, from advice on training and gear to provision of
comfortable lodging and appetizing meals to professional and
experienced guide services on the mountain.
With the assistance of our Spanish translator and a local
guide, True North will show you a part of
Mexico
most tourists only see from a plane. |

We are currently
taking reservations for an Orizaba
expedition in February of 2007.
Our lead guide for this expedition will be John Haight. The
expedition will include summit bids on Pico de Orizaba, La
Malinche, Ixta and, if time permits, whitewater kayaking/rafting
on Rio Pescado. John has over 15 years of experience climbing and
mountaineering in the
United States, Mexico, and South America
